TA series movable terminal blocks

This TA Series screw-fixed barrier terminal block provides a simple way to connect wires to a single connection point. These blocks allow wires to be screwed together and self-isolated without needing to twist, solder, or splice. By this method, wiring can be adjusted at anytime just as easily as it was the first time.

How to Maintain Terminal Blocks

Regular Inspection

  • Regularly inspect terminal blocks for signs of wear, corrosion, or loose connections.

Clean Terminal Blocks Regularly

  • Use a soft brush and compressed air to clean terminal blocks and remove any dirt, dust, or debris that may accumulate on the contact points.

If Any Loose Connection Is Found

  • If any connection becomes loose, use a screwdriver to tighten the screws to the manufacturer’s recommended torque value. This helps ensure a safe and reliable electrical connection.

Check for Overheating

  • Inspect terminal blocks for signs of overheating, such as discoloration or deformation. Overheating may be caused by excessive current or poor contact resistance, and should be addressed promptly to prevent further damage.

Always Use Properly Sized Terminal Blocks

  • Be sure to select the correct size and type of terminal block according to the application requirements. Using undersized terminal blocks may lead to overheating, poor contact, and other issues.

Troubleshoot Faulty Connections

  • If a faulty connection occurs, check the wiring for short circuits, open circuits, or incorrect positioning. Use a multimeter or other diagnostic tools to identify the root cause of the problem.

Follow the Manufacturer’s Guidelines

  • Always follow the terminal block manufacturer’s instructions for installation, operation, and maintenance to ensure safe and reliable performance.
